Actor Anton Yelchin has passed away at the age of 27. The actor most recently known for his roles in the new “Star Trek” films was found at his home in the San Fernando Valley. 

According to TMZ he was found pinned between his car and a brick mailbox. He was discovered by friends who were worried after he didn’t show up for a rehearsal. Police tell TMZ that the car was running when he was found with the car in neutral. They do no suspect foul play. 

Yelchin has starred in numerous roles both in film and television. His break out roles came in “Alpha Dog” and the comedy “Charlie Bartlett” but most people will recognize him from the rebooted versions of “Star Trek”. “Star Trek Beyond” hits theaters in July.
