The new trailer for Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” debuted earlier today and while fans were talking in general about the movie the main buzz around the trailer was the revealing of Spider-Man. Marvel fans have been waiting for the web slinger to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and he finally has and all early indications is that its a hit.
Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company said: “Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s great characters, beloved around the world. We’re thrilled to work with Sony Pictures to bring the iconic web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which opens up fantastic new opportunities for storytelling and franchise building.”
Spiderman 3.0 looks to be alot different than his predecessors Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire Spider-Man, or the more recent Marc Webb/Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man. It looks like that MCU is taking Spiderman in a direction more fit with that of the comic book, he even has a new Spidey outfit.
Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. “Captain America: Civil War” opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
