Mark Salling has been indicted for possessing child pornography, the grand jury indicted the star on two counts of child porn. In December the former Glee star was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. The LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force obtain and served a warrant at his home in Sunland, California. 

Salling’s ex girlfriend reportedly tipped off investigators who then began investigating the actor. Law enforcement officials are now saying that during the course of serving the warrant and seizing electronic devices, including tablets and cell phones they have come across thousands of images of “child sexual exploitation”. Many of the images according to reports were of children significantly younger than 15 and 16 years old. 

“Those who download and possess child pornography create a market that causes more children to be harmed,” U.S. Attorney Eileen M. Decker said.

Salling is expected to turn himself into authorities on June 3 where he could face a maximum 20 years sentence in federal prison with at least a five-year minimum sentence.
