There were lots of BIG announcements today at the D23 Expo Parks and Resorts Panel. The more exciting news to come out today though was introduced to us by lots of chimney sweepers and the icon himself Dick Van Dyke. Dyke along side Disney parks chairman, Bob Chapek announced some changes happening to the U.K. Pavillion.

The pavilion will become the home to the very first attraction inspired by the classic Disney film Mary Poppins. Guest will be able to step in time down Cherry Tree Lane past Admiral Boom’s house, and then enter Number 17, home of the Banks family, where their adventure will begin.

There were no other details released about exactly what the ride would be or when it would open so it looks like this is a wait and see and a project that is a few years out from construction and ultimately completion.

I am super excited thought that Mary Poppins is finally getting some real recognition at Walt Disney World, and that they are building Cherry Tree lane is just going to be absolutely amazing.
