Heartsrevolution -Kishi Kaisei
The innovative musical group hearts revolution is pushing the sounds of modern day pop music with their dance-punk electronica sound. The band which has been around since 2004 has ha their music appear on television shows such as Gossip Girl. Heartsrevolution even has a repurposed ice cream van that they used to sell merchandise and popcicles from prior to concert gig’s. The van is covered with Swarovski crystals and took two and a half years to finish and was possible because crystals Michael Jackson had obtained for his tour were given to them after his death.
Chromeo – Play The Fool
Started in 2002 this Canadian duo has been producing a mix of Synthpop and Electro Funk. Formed by David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel the two from Montreal met while attending college.
Shawn Mendes – Aftertaste
Shawn Mendes is one of my favorite new artists and has a great story of discovery. He was found in 2013 after amassing a following on Vine and catching the attention of record executives. I love when a talented artist like this get noticed because usually they are extremely musically talented in comparison with a lot of other mass marketed artists. He definitely is one to check out and watch as his musical career continues to develop.
