My life is so perfect right now and the people I chose to let into it are so very special. Its Friday and has been a full day of San Diego happiness beginning today when i got to see my former morning anchor and friend Lauren. It just so happened that she was in town at the same time that I was and what better way to celebrate than to head to the beach.

A Day at Ocean Beach

So we walked on over to Ocean Beach the beach that I’ve now been to numerous times and chilled and enjoyed catching up with each other. It’s crazy how if someone is a friend and you haven’t seen them in forever that your able to pick up right where you left off and it was no different with Lauren. The beach is such a peaceful place for me and has been every time that I have visited San Diego. When you sit there and just look out into the ocean and hear the waves crashing onto the shore there is nothing like it in the world. I every time sit there and think how thankful I am for everything that I currently have in my life and the few friends that Ive allowed close in my life.

That Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich

We continued our excursion together walking around the area near Ocean Beach and cake across the Light House Ice Cream and Yogurt.

OMG they had the most yummy amazing thing ever a “Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich” and I decided to get one with birthday cake ice cream. Wow who knew that a waffle ice cream sandwich would be so delicious.  The evening is still young on the west coast and Justin will be arriving shortly for what I’m sure will be a fun filled evening in the wonderful San Diego.
