Based on the well-loved 1998 American romantic comedy film written by Tim Herlihy and directed by Frank Coraci, “The Wedding Singer” musical made its Broadway debut in 2006. The show boasts a heartwarming and humorous score by Matthew Sklar, enchanting lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a compelling book co-authored by Beguelin and Herlihy. Its original Broadway production garnered a substantial five Tony Award nominations, including best musical, best original score, and best choreography.

Centered around Robbie, a wedding singer, the musical weaves a tale of lost love and newfound romance. With his former relationship in tatters, Robbie finds hope in Julia, his new love interest. Guided by supportive friends and some unexpected Las Vegas impersonators, Robbie and Julia navigate their difficulties to reveal their true feelings for each other.

The musical score, an audience favorite, includes hits like “Somebody Kill Me” and “Grow Old With You,” plus additions not featured in the original movie, such as “Someday” and “It’s Your Wedding Day.” Heavily imbued with the spirit of the 1980s, “The Wedding Singer” guarantees to captivate audiences across all ages.

The Moonlight Production features a talented ensemble, including Larry Raben as Director, Luke H. Jacobs as Choreographer, and Tamara Paige as Music Director & Conductor. With Brett Benowitz as Robbie Hart and Megan Carmitchel as Julia, the production promises an unforgettable theatrical experience.
