Troye Sivan kicked off Comic Con in grand style performing for hundreds of fans at the newly opened Horton Plaza Park in Downtown San Diego. The concert is the start of what’s going to be an incredible few days of Comic Con experiences throughout the city. Whether it’s television, movies or music there is something for fans of all ages.
Troye Sivan Serenades San Diego
The concert was an incredible way to start the four days of fun activities. The setting at Horton Plaza Park was the perfect venue as the new setup allows for an intimate venue outdoors to enjoy the sounds of your favorite musician. One of my favorite things about San Diego is being able to be outdoors while at your favorite concert and so to experience Troye Sivan in this way was amazing.
It was pretty hot when we arrived at Horton Plaza Park, as we waited to get into the venue. Once we were in and the concert got underway it was a sea of cell phones, everyone trying to ger that perfect picture or video for their social media accounts. I was no different as I posed for selfies and took video of the concert.

Entertainment Weekly ConX
The concert helped launch Entertainment Weekly’s ConX activities. ConX will allow fans access to their favorite stars free of charge. The fan event will take place Thursday through Sunday at the Embarcedero Marine Park North just behind the convention center.
Visitors to Entertainment Weekly’s ConX will be able to enjoy picnic areas, food trucks, phone charging stations, as well as treating themselves to some SweeTARTS in the “Follow Your Tart” custom candy lab. Fans won’t want to miss out on the chance to see their favorite stars as Entertainment Weekly chats with them at the Entertainment Weekly Spotlight Stage.
