Orlando wit the bestie halloween
It was a week full of fun as I travelled to Orlando, Florida to hang out with my best friend Mikey. We decided to make a week of fun at Walt Disney World taking part in Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party as well as the Epcot Wine and Food Festival.
It’s day one of this epic trip that was planned at the last minute. Myself and my best friend Mikey have a way with planning and deciding on doing things at the very last possible second. It was up early for the first flight out of the airport and luckily it was a quick pass through security and just waiting for the plane to arrive. It was so nice on the plane ride to Dallas because i was in the second row so it was close to enter and exit no being all crushed getting out of the little plane. Arrived to DFW airport with not much time before I had to catch my plane to Orlando so I quickly find which terminal i need to get to and on the way grab a quick bite to eat. Well I finally made it to MCO and my bestie is ready and arrives to pick me up. Now its ready for some fun but first we have to do a little shopping for costume supplies more on that later. We make stops at everyone’s favorite Wal-Mart as well as Jo-Ann’s and Party Supply and walk away with pointy ears, women’s spanks, and all kinds of sewing supplies. Now I know this is going to shock some people but I’ve never eaten at Panda Express but this is what we decided to grab before heading to get to work on the costumes. Let me just say it was quite delicious and my bestie now has me hooked on egg rolls which I also had never eaten up to that point.
It’s costume time!!! We have decided that for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that we will be going as Terrance and Sled two members from the Tinker Bell movies. We begin work on the main portions of what will be my friends sparrowman costume or fairy costume. It ends up turning into a very time consuming venture as i wear the costume and my friend literally has to sew portions of it together while i stand still. However this turns into a great opportunity for me to watch all the tinker bell movies which i had never seen and as a side note they are all pretty good and the music is great. The daylight now turns to night and work on the costume continues and now that we have finished the tinker bell movies it’s time for more Disney movies and again many will be surprised that I have not seen these but on the list “Mulan”, “Mulan 2”, and “Hercules”. We worked late late late into the night or Mikey did while I played model or just observed the sewing but can I say he is a master costumer maker because this costume is soooooo incredibly awesome. It was wake up time not to early but early enough to gather up the stuff and finish last minute work and detailing for the costumes. We start making our way to Walt Disney World but first of course we need to make a stop at Target and buy things that we don’t even need nor which were even on our list. We of course as is normal have to play around in the costume section and do a mini photo shoot of which was fabulous as always. So what was something we purchased but probably didn’t need well donuts of course even a donut with fruit loops on top. Mmmmm Yummmy!!!

Well back on the road and its such a beautiful day in Orlando as we make the final trek to our hotel the All Star Music Resort. So this is where things turn even more magical obviously since we are now at Disney. We knew we were getting them but to actually see the box and see them we were both all excited and what am I talking about you ask oh Magic Bands. These are so incredibly cool they are your everything when on Disney property your room key your ticket to the park you can use it to pay for things as well as use for your photo pass pictures. Now on the race to the room mikey ended up getting to use his magic band to open the door this is something that we ended up racing to the door to do every night. We took some time that we had to just sit back and just relax as well as explore the resort. While exploring the resort and taking pictures we came across two girls who were visiting from Australia we chatted a bit and took pictures for each other and then discovered one of them loves the little mermaid and even had a tattoo which meant that my bestie got to show off his tattoo of Prince Eric.

We finished exploring the resort taking pictures everywhere we went but soon it was time to head back to get dressed and head over to the Magic Kingdom. So we both put on our tights and rest of our costumes and were looking like super cute sparrowmen as we made our way to the Magic Kingdom and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We arrived and the fun began. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 2 Part 3{/gallery} Our first stop was to visit tinkerbell and her friends and some Disney magic happened when we were visiting . So not only did we meet Tinker Bell which is Terrances crush but we also met Rosetta which is Sled’s crush. Now the best thing to happen at this first meet and greet was that they cleared the room completely for us and we ened up chatting and taking selfies for a good five minutes before we wrapped things up and said goodbye. {gallery}Halloween Day Part 2 Tinker Bell{/gallery}
The rest of the night was filled with more meet and greets such as the Seven Dwarves, Minnie in her Halloween best to the evil step-sister, and Ariel. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 2 Part 4{/gallery} We even had a dance party with some monsters from Monsters Inc. and Woody and Jessie. We of course had to take selfies with all of them because that’s just what we do. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 2 Part 5{/gallery} Now this next part is prob the most magical thing and caused lots of jumping giddy laughing pure smiles and even tears and what could illicit all of that but meeting Mickey Mouse but not only did we meet Mickey Mouse but he talked to us. Yes Yes the mouse himself had a full conversation with us and it was just epic. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 2 Part 6{/gallery} After that we did a little trick or treating and well I think we came out pretty good as we both ended up getting two large bags of candy. The night continued on as we were having some Disney fun hanging and dancing with Finneas and Ferb. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 2 Part 7{/gallery} After that we watched the Halloween parade which was pretty awesome and can we say headless horseman and even before that A funny moment also came while waiting for the parade as we saw three cast members talking about us and when we had their attention we waived them over and took a picture with them. It’s day three in Orlando and its time to go to Epcot. This is going to be a fun day because its the Epcot Wine and Food Festival so lots of food and lots of wine and alcohol. So we randomly decided to do theme days so today we decided to be mike and sully from monsters inc. they are a best friend duo just like myself and Mikey. So we get to Epcot and I’ve made the decision to buy a season pass this is a big deal as they are kinda pricey but decided ill becoming here again soon so might as well go for it. It turns out to be a good decision that i have not regretted yet.
{gallery}Halloween Day 3 Part1{/gallery} So out first stop is space ship earth a must do classic ride and you can see what the future holds for two besties in the below video. Next up lets head to Nemo for a little underwater fun i love this ride if for nothing more the very end of the ride with the music from the Animal Kingdom Finding Nemo musical. The last ride we decide to do before heading to world showcase is Test Track and so we decided to build a little quick smart car and what would you know we place first in several categories and come out second overall. {gallery}Halloween Day 3 Part 2{/gallery} Well enough of this its time to eat and drink around the world and with so many options its going to be a day of fun. We did have wrist bands to get front row to watch illuminations but decided to head over to magic kingdom where they were open till 1am. 1am. So we did a little watching of the Electric light parade, space mountain and the runaway train among other things. It was a fun night to be at the most magical place on earth as there were not many people so it was just a leisure night of fun. As we were heading out we took a picture that has become one of my favorite pictures of the entire trip mike and sully on Main St. USA in front of Cinderella castle.

Day four things are going by so quickly and I don’t want it to end. I really love time with my best friend as I never really had fun times like this growing up. So where to head today well lets go to Magic kingdom for a little fun. So we get there and begin all the fun and even have these pictures taken which are some pretty awesome photos we didn’t even know were being taken till they wanted to scan out magic bands.

Then we proceed to explore around the park doing a few rides meeting a few characters and getting Mickey and Minnie to sign out hats. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 4 Besties{/gallery} So me and mikey love meeting characters so on this day we meet Princess Tiana, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Mickey and Minnie and all of them were magical experience and we got some pretty awesome photos.{gallery}Halloween Trip Day 4 Characters{/gallery} Now some of the exploring led us to getting some pretty cool pictures and most of them were taken by Mikey who took control of the camera and delivered these shots. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 4 Misc.{/gallery} So we decided to head over to Epcot to get our complimentary meet and greet photo done so we made our way there and on the way i received a special tattoo courtesy of Mikey.
So we get to Epcot and its time for our photo and its going to be with Minnie and Pluto and there is no line so we seriously spent a good five minutes talking and playing around with them chasing pluto, making sassy poses and taking selfies with them. This was such a blast and we have gotten to be lucky and have so many of these special moments.{gallery}Halloween Trip Day 4 Epcot Meet Greet{/gallery} So during the rest of the evening we have more meatballs which end up being out favorite food we have more to drink including a french slushy that turns our tongues pink and we go meet Winnie the Pooh and Tiger two times. Yes we went in the first time did poses with them exited and got back in line to do it all again yes remember we love character interaction and this time we take those selfies like crazy. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 4 Epcot{/gallery} We then head back to the area where we get to watch illuminations front row thanks to our chase wrist bands on the way we drop in for a little fun at the smash mouth concert. Oh taking it back quite a bit but we were jumping and screaming and having a blast. Wahhhhh its the last day in Orlando and I’m feeling a little sad but we still have a full day of Disney fun. Today we dress as chip and dale another great Disney duo and head over to Animal Kingdom. We do a little roller coaster riding on Everest which was a blast as always and Mikey even got me to not hold on to the hand rail and to give a little pose. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 5 Part 1{/gallery} We go watch the Finding Nemo musical which is so incredibly cute and I love the music and Mikey gets some pretty good pics. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 6 Nemo{/gallery} Then we head over for some more character interaction getting to see Pocahontas, from The Jungle Book and then getting to see our buddies Chip and Dale. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 5 Part 2{/gallery}
While we are at the meet and greet area a Disney cast member walks up to us and invites us to be in a Disney parade and both of go crazy and cannot believe the luck that bot of us have had through this trip and of course we say yes. So we get all dressed up in the parade attire and head backstage to get on the float and oh what a magical thing this ended up being. We were on the first float with rafiki so we led the parade off in great style waving and enjoying the magical once in a lifetime moment. {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 5 Parade{/gallery} After the parade we headed over to Hollywood studios where we went on The Rockin Rollercoaster and then got ready for Fantasmic. I really love Fantasmic when I first saw it last year i got chills and once again the chills came over me as I watched the show this time with the magical “Glow with the Show Ears”. After the show we decided to run over to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks and then ended the night watching the Electric Light Parade {gallery}Halloween Trip Day 6 Part 3{/gallery}
